Clearing the Condensate Line
Apex summers are brutally humid, forcing your AC to pull gallons of water out of the air daily. That moisture drains through a dedicated PVC line. If algae or dust clogs this pipe, you get a backup that floods your ceiling or crawlspace. Pour a cup of regular white vinegar down your condensate drain line every month to kill algae buildup. If you see water pooling around your indoor air handler, your safety float switch is either broken or about to trip, which will shut down your entire system right when you need it most. Inspect the outdoor drain exit to ensure it is clear of dirt and mulch.
